Tips for Removing Water Spots from Your Auto Glass
If you’ve ever washed your car and seen hard water spots left behind, you know how frustrating it is to get them off. You sit and use all the elbow grease you can but nothing seems to work. Well, there are a few things that can help remove these spots, and having spot free auto glass is possible. Here are a few tips to help remove those tough spots once and for all.
You’ll want to make sure you use microfiber cloths to wash off your glass. This prevents any residue from regular towels and paper towels. You’ll also want to have a cleaner that is ammonia free so it removes the spots. Using traditional Windex or other glass cleaner is only going to make the spots worse, or it can leave behind streaks.
After spraying your glass, wipe it off with your cloth. Use one cloth to go up and down and a second one to go from side to side. Rain X can also be applied and this helps prevent rain water from drying on your windshield which also causes spots.
Also, make sure your cleaner is alcohol free. Using anything with ammonia or alcohol can damage the paint on your car in case you accidentally spray your car.
